Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Aim of this course is to let students combine their advertising knowledge and design. They are able to learn creating unique designs and also learn how to improve their creativeness.
Course Content: vector drawings, logo design, package design, character design, working with effect tools.

1) Learning fundamentals of design. Learning color modes. Improving drawing skills by using pen tool. Improving logo designing skills for brands. Drawing suitable backgrounds for designs.

2) Presentation of the Photoshop program interface.
3) Examining the selection tool options.
4) Use of the masking tool.
5) Introduction to photo cropping, resizing and transforming.
6) Processing of photo retouching techniques.
7) Use of blending options.
8) Text tool sub-properties and text effect application.
9) Background design applications.
10) Banner definition, size and property information and creation of a banner design.
11) Explanation of 3 dimension tool features.
12) Creating a collage with photographs and designing a poster.
13) Hareketli banner tasarımı yapma.
14) General review of the steps learned.
15) Final Exam.

1) Awareness of professional and ethical responsibility.
2) Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering subjects pertaining to the relevant discipline; ability to use theoretical and applied information in these areas to model and solve engineering problems.

7) Ability to devise, select, and use modern techniques and tools needed for engineering practice; ability to employ information technologies effectively.
