Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the following concepts: bank law; sources of bank law (laws, statutes, regulations and communiqués); organization of the banking sector (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, CBRT, SDIF, TBB); bank management concept; establishment phases of banks; bank activity history; legal arrangements relating to the organization of the banks, their employees and the working order; banking operations; contracts; deposit and loan contract; internal and external audit of banks; transfer, merger, division and liquidation of banks.
Course Content: Turkish Bank Law; bank law subject; sources of bank law (laws, statutes, regulations and communiqués); organization of the banking sector (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, CBRT, SDIF, TBB); bank management concept; establishment phases of banks; bank activity history; legal arrangements relating to the organization of the banks, their employees and the working order; banking operations; contracts; deposit and loan contract; internal and external audit of banks; transfer, merger, division and liquidation of banks.
