Course Objectives: |
This course is designed for students with a German proficiency level of 0 to A1.1. The lessons consist of a series of reading passages/texts designed to introduce German grammar. The primary objective of this course is to teach German grammatical structure and to develop students' knowledge across a variety of academic disciplines. The resource book aims to help students explore, learn, and apply grammar. Lessons are divided into specific grammar units. At the end of each unit, students are given opportunities to read, write, speak, and reinforce their grammar. The overall aim of the course is to equip students with the basic language skills that will enable them to communicate at level A1.1 (Beginner) according to the European Community Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). |
Course Content: |
The simplest sentence patterns in present and past tense that students can use to introduce themselves, their families, and others (such as where they live, who they know, what they own, their hobbies, their languages, their profession, etc.)
2. Simple expressions and question patterns to use when discussing basic needs or well-known topics
3. Short oral and written texts of various types
4. Simple information forms
5. Numbers, quantities, prices, and time units, telling the time, telling and asking the time
6. Simple politeness and comment patterns
7. Daily activities
8. Food and drink, ordering at cafes and restaurants
