Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to examine the development of sociology since the 1920s.
Course Content: Ders çerçevesinde Yapısal İşlevselcilik, Sembolik Etkileşimcilik, Etnomedoloji ve Fenomenoloji gibi yerleşik kuramlarım yanında daha çağdaş dünyanın figürleri olan Giddens, Bourdieu, Foucault, Gramsci, Featherstone, Baumann gibi düşünürlerin teorileri aracılığı ile çağdaş sosyal teorinin eyleyen, özne, iktidar, habitus, alan, sermaye, söylem ve hegemonya gibi temel kavramlarının üzerinde durulacak.
