Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To give general knowledge on water resources development and to inform about the required methodologies.
To gain skills for applying mathematics, science and engineering knowledge on the solution of water resources problems
Course Content: Introduction to water resources and equilibrium of river channels. Sediment transport. Dams. Reservoir.Diversion weirs and gates. Intake structures. Energy dissipators. Hydroelectric power. Irrigation. Drainage. Flood control. River regulation. Economic analysis in water resources.

1) Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering subjects pertaining to the relevant discipline; ability to use theoretical and applied information in these areas to model and solve engineering problems.
