Course Objectives: | This lecture aims to improve the drawing standards and skills of the learners, in order to gain a proper representational knowledge throughout their educational and professional life. It is essential for todays technology and necessities that architectural representational techniques, necessary qualifications and standards are to be taken by a learner where architectural implementations and design objects are becoming cultural communication tools rather than products. The lecture teaches to the learner to read and describe their designs both two and three dimensionally, while finding solutions throughout the design process.. |
Course Content: | This course focuses on architectural representation techniques. The course aims conveying basic knowledge on freehand drawing, technical drawing (plan, elevation, stairs), 3d representation techniques (perspective) and architectural presentation (poster design). In the beginning of each class, a short lecture is given by the instructor. Afterwards, students are asked to work on and finish one work in class. Each student is responsible for bringing necessary drawing equipment and submitting his/her homework on time. Late submissions are not accepted. |
