Course Objectives: |
To develop counseling and psychotherapy skills with the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, not to harm the client, to be able to evaluate ethical and risk, to make clinical assessment, to evaluate the client in a professional and scientific framework, to reinforce CBT treatment techniques and knowledge practically
|
Course Content: |
Timely delivery of transcripts: Transcripts of each therapy session will be written down and sent to the supervisor and supervision group no later than two days before the supervision date.
Timely and complete participation in the supervision sessions: Students who are late for the supervision classes twice or leave the supervision early will be considered as not attending a supervision class. Students who do not attend two or more supervisions without giving any reason will be excluded from the group and dropped out of the course, and this will directly affect the end of term grade.
Transfer of knowledge to practice: It is expected that the learned knowledge will be applied in psychotherapy sessions and supervision role-plays, come prepared for supervision, and each student is expected to actively transfer their knowledge for all the cases handled.
Final work: Students will be asked to prepare a detailed case presentation and CBT formulation of the client, whose CBT process they have continued throughout the semester, and to hand-deliver this work in the last lesson of the semester. This study will cover the entire application process. |
