Course Objectives: | At the end of the semester, it is aimed to analyze and understand a literature text written in Arabic and translate it into Turkish in a literary style. |
Course Content: | After general information about Arab literature, well-known Arab literary and his works in Arabic, different types of texts such as stories, short stories, novels and articles from modern Arab literature are examined in the course and translated into Turkish. The translation of this course is started with author biographies and continues with the translation of short story, story and novel chapters. It is important to make sure that the texts are from different Arab countries to writers and to go from easy to difficult in terms of language and style. In addition, the student is asked to read and summarize works of Arabic and Turkish literature to recognize literary works through homework and to help him develop his literary style. |
