Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:	· clarify function of note taking as information transmission and information management · improve listening comprehension on different topics and styles in Chinese · learn various modes of note taking including summary, outline and mapping · take notes in a consistent and understandable manner · form an individual system on note taking by certain techniques and methods
Course Content:	· Information transmission and management in note taking · Limits, constraints and criteria for efficient and effective note taking · Preparation, process and evaluation for effective and efficient note taking · Exercises in note taking in resource and target languages
