Course Objectives: | This course aimed to teach basic concepts and structures of the ophthalmic and optic devices and their usage. |
Course Content: | Technical terms and definitions, the basic elements of optical instruments The main characteristics of optical instruments Lensometre (fokometre) basis, fokometre definition, types. Images of the lenses in fokometer, the lens diopters determination of forces. Pupillametre, magnifiers, binoculars, microscopes, telescopes, camera (digital camera), ophthalmic optical instruments Symptomatology of diseases of the eye and eye complaints. Low vision (low vision), optical instruments, Eye examination, routine eye examinations and assist tools and methods used in the examination of the tools and principles of optics.
