Employment Areas of Graduates

For the graduates of the Department of Translation and Interpreting, there are job opportunities in various public institutions (TRT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of National Education, etc.), publishing houses, magazines, newspapers, film studios, and international organizations. In addition, graduates who have completed their education in the field of interpreting can work as conference translators in the sector if they specialize in fields such as diplomacy, trade, tourism, and legal translation. Those who receive a pedagogy certificate can teach at secondary institutions. Interpreters can create their own working areas by opening a private office.
