Aim of the Programme

The aim of the program is to graduate food and beverage experts in the field of gastronomy. Our program based on an interdisciplinary approach that is required in the field to train professionals and aims to scientifically examine the link between gastronomy and the artistic, cultural, and technological transformations, while considering these transformations with clarity. Thus, it is believed that the program will contribute to the development of gastronomists who can comprehend the culinary culture of their society, transfer their knowledge to the food and beverage industry and undertake an illuminative role, use new technologies, and possess an understanding of how these technologies relate to gastronomy. Additionally, the program is expected to foster the development of young scholars who aspire to utilize this knowledge in academic settings. The gastronomy industry is considered as a leading sector that drives several high value-added sub-sectors, requiring intensive labor input and stimulating economic growth.
