Program Training Goals

(The objectives determined in line with the purpose of the program are stated below.)

1	To know professional authority and responsibilities
2	Having information about basic vision devices such as glasses, contact lenses and low vision devices
3	To be able to provide adaptation to the user by selection, sale and preparation of basic vision devices by prescription.
4	Numbered spectacle lenses and contact lenses can be measured and set up for mounting.
5	Be able to use equipments and machines to prepare glasses.
6	To have enough knowledge about basic optical instruments.
7	To have general knowledge about basic mathematics, chemistry, physics and physics of geometric optics
8	Having basic information about eye and vision health and diseases.
9	Be able to have basic knowledge in human anatomy, physiology and general public health areas.
10	Having the consciousness of professional ethics rules.
11	To be able to follow the technological developments related to the profession and apply them to the field of study.
12	Being aware of the importance of lifelong learning and having self-improvement by following in-service training, courses, seminars, symposiums, panels and publications
13	To be able to use general and professional software programs, automation systems.
14	To have knowledge and skills about administrative responsibility and management of professional enterprises.
15	By observing health and safety precautions related to his / her profession, he / she can protect his / her coldness and apply first aid in unusual circumstances.
