Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to aim to explain the fundamentals of mass communication law by telling basic concepts such as knowledge acquisition, freedom of thought and expression on the purpose of setting the consciousness of respect to the fundamental rights and freedoms and superiority of law in the legal execution of mass communication activities. This course also aims to explain the juridical regulations and responsibilities related to the internet, television broadcasting and printed media.
Course Content: Introduction to law; Law and communication; Freedom of communication in Turkey, historical perspective; The foundations of mass communication law; Laws regulating the field of communication in Turkish legislation; Internet and information regime; Internet regime; Repetition of course topics
