Course Objectives: | Understanding the financial aspect of international trade. It explains how business owners and partners can access the necessary financial resources to develop their businesses when starting trade and at later stages. |
Course Content: | This course aims to provide fundamental knowledge on the financing of foreign trade. Designed to prepare students for the use of these techniques, this course aims to teach them how to determine financing needs and select the appropriate financial instruments to meet those needs. It aims to examine the product in depth by considering all risks and transactions. This course also seeks to create awareness of various international trade instruments that help deal with the risks associated with international trade transactions from both the buyer's and seller's perspectives and assist in selecting the right financial product. Students will also develop the ability to identify methods for analyzing the main risks associated with trade finance transactions. Students will gain knowledge and skills regarding incentive systems, including what export incentives are and how to utilize them. Additionally, alternative financing options such as buyer credits, export credit insurance, project financing, and Turkish Eximbank products will be covered. Moreover, students will explore other financial products such as factoring, forfaiting, financial leasing, and acceptance credits. Through individual studies and case analyses, students will be able to connect theories with real-world applications and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the topics. |
