Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to examine crime from a sociological perspective and to touch on issues such as deviance and deviant behavior in modern societies. |
Course Content: | Within the scope of this course, classical and contemporary crime theories; the nature and causes of his guilt; analysis of the relationship between industrialization, urbanization, social and cultural change and crime; new criminology movements (Feminist, Marxist and Radical Criminology; new types of crimes (Computer crimes, etc.); crime and criminality in Turkey, the relationship between crime and justice system, approaches to preventing crime and social deviance and deviant behavior.) |
