Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to make an introduction to the planning and design of manufacturing facilities. |
Course Content: | Facility operation and organization principles. Capacity and technology selection. Analysis of production plans and processes for calculating equipment and labor requirements. Site selection for the facility. Factory layout. Determination of production support activities such as material supply, inventory management, material handling, storage and storage, packaging and shipping, maintenance planning. |
