Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Introduce students to the basics of scientific computing concepts, develop problem-solving skills, develop algorithms, teach students how to use the Python programming language in scientific and engineering calculations, teach students to view results and prepare written reports
Course Content: Basic information about computer. Variables, constants, arithmetic operations, comparison operations, Analysis of the given problem, Creation of the algorithm, Flow diagrams; Symbols used in flowcharts, Introduction to programming language, Control statements in programming language, Loop statements in programming language, Sequence structures in programming language.

Program Outcomes
1) Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering subjects pertaining to the relevant discipline; ability to use theoretical and applied information in these areas to model and solve engineering problems.
