Course Objectives: |
The "Professional Ethics and Law of Advocacy" course aims to equip law students with the ability to identify ethical issues they may encounter in their professional lives and develop strategies to address these challenges. Additionally, it seeks to impart knowledge about the fundamental characteristics of the legal profession, the rights and obligations of lawyers, professional responsibilities, and the principles of attorney-client agreements. Through this course, students will be prepared to uphold ethical standards in legal practice, thereby contributing to the administration of justice. |
Course Content: |
The course content begins with an examination of the concepts of ethics and morality, followed by a study of ethical systems and the factors influencing moral development. Topics such as professional ethics, professional corruption, and the consequences of unethical behavior are thoroughly explored. Furthermore, the course delves into the qualities of the legal profession, attorney-client agreements, and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of lawyers. Throughout the course, theoretical knowledge is reinforced with case studies and group discussions to enhance students' practical skills. |
