Course Objectives: | More detailed information about Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature is given to the students who have knowledge about Chinese Literature History and Modern Chinese Literature with the Chinese Literature course taken in the previous semester. Literary movements, poets, and writers and their works are discussed in more detail periodically. Literary text translations are made for students to read and discuss Chinese literature selections in Chinese. Students who successfully complete the course will have a different perspective on Chinese Literature by understanding the ideological characteristics of outstanding writers and their reflections on literature. |
Course Content: | This semester covers 14 weeks, various authors and their works in the history of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature are discussed according to periodic and literary movements, and various texts are examined. By teaching text translation techniques according to the literary style, the student is provided to establish a connection with the source text. |
