Course Objectives: | This course aims to provide the students with information on the social structure of society, its values and their effects on health. |
Course Content: | 1 Definition of sociology, features. The relationship of sociology with other units 2 Sociology as a science, a-The subject and field of sociology, b- The branches of sociology 3 What is a community? A-What are the elements that make up the social structure? b-Role, status, group, institution etc. 4 Health and sickness. Sociologically ill and disease, Patient status and role 5 health in Turkey Turkey's social structure, health policy 6 The relationship of diseases with the social structure of the society. Culture, health-disease relationship 7 The concept of family and family, patient family, family medicine, preventive medicine, public health concepts 8 The place of health education and system in the social structure 9 Health-disease relationship of social phenomena such as poverty, unemployment, divorce, violence. Effect of age and gender 10 MIDTERM EXAM 11 Organizational managerial structure of hospitals and health institutions. Doctor, nurse, dietician etc. medical staff 12 Social etiology.
