Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is to constitutively examine the bilateral and multilateral process of internal legitimacy in international society

Course Content:

First of all, because there are some ambiguities on the concept of international society, we clearly define this concept and its effects on legitimacy. After that, we constitute a theoretical framework in the course of history such as Westphalia (1648), the Versailles settlement (1919) and the end of the WWII in 1945. That is to examine legitimacy in terms of comparative concepts of rightful membership, consensus, norms, and equilibrium in the international society due to course its means and ends in the 20th century.
