Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to give information to the students about basic concepts and approaches about gerontology, to make them understand the basic concepts about gerontology, to give them an insight about the development of gerontology both in Turkey and in the world, relations between gerontology and the related basic concepts and to make them understand the basic concepts and the approaches. Moreover, it also aims to make them understand the importance of the protection and preservation of the health, to familiarize with geriatric care technician as a profession, to make them learn and use the basic concepts and procedures regarding the gerontology practices and make them to gain the skills of providing planned patient care. |
