Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to explain the effect on health of well- adequed and unbalanced nutrition, nutritients, food groups, healthy eating patterns on the basic of healthy nutrition, healthy and balanced menu planning. Also this course explain obesity, malnutrition, weigth control, eating disorders in elder people |
Course Content: | • recognize and identify the basic structure/elements of food • recognize and identify nutrition • underline the importance of nutrition in the elderly • define the food groups • define the importance of nutrition in case of illness in the elderly |
