Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to analyze the maritime transport in the business, economy, ethics, insurance and maritime law, to recognize the types of maritime trade management, especially the cargo ship operation and the chartering process, to communicate the maritime transport agreements, cargo documents and the abbreviations used in maritime transport.
Course Content: Basic definitions and concepts related to maritime trade; institutions and organizations in maritime trade; types of marine enterprises; structural and functional analysis of maritime enterprises; international trade; goods and trade routes; ship types; sea transportation contracts; Classification of ship and cargo; marine management practices; maritime industry; maritime communication; international maritime organizations; maritime transport performance management.
