Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to contribute to the students' knowledge about the Turkish political culture. Students are expected to be familiar with the Turkish political life and will evaluate the economic and political issues better after taking this course. |
Course Content: | Isms in Turkish Political Culture: Ottomanism; Islamism; Turkism; Atatürkism; Corporatism in Turkey; Modernity and Democratization; Political Parties and Nepotism in Turkey; Military Coups and their Effects on Political Life. |
