Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course purposes to teach the students the structure of the state under constitution, duties and responsibilities of the power of legislation – execution and judiciary, basic rights and freedoms, election system, political parties and constitutional jurisdiction. By doing so, students will get the ability to criticize and use the subjects below into concrete issues.
Course Content: • Basic concepts of Constitution
• Constituent power, state and state forms
• Fundamental rights and freedoms
• Constitutional Judgment
• Turkish constitutional law
• Duties and powers of the legislative, executive and judiciary within the framework of the separation of powers
• Regulatory procedures of the executive body
• Judicial organization, structure, duties and jurisdiction areas in Turkish law
• How the Constitution will be amended and its results
