Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course will be continued with different fabrics and textile materials on rehearsing mannequins to gain familiarity with the artistic creation processes through the themes determined in order to be ready for vocational courses by developing the basic knowledge gained in the Introduction to Fashion Design I course.

1) Designing final projects in the light of the works selected by the students -
1) Course Introduction, Introduction to Sewing Techniques -
2) To teach basic sewing techniques, student applications -
3) Sample product work with basic sewing techniques (sewing totebag or skirt) -
4) Introduction of body measurements and draping -
5) Completion of basic body pattern with draping -
6) Creative Draping Techniques with Body Practice, design work -
7) Creative Draping Techniques with Collar Application, design work -
8) Creative Draping Techniques with Arm Application, design work -

10) Explaining basic design principles and showing examples of the use of these principles in fashion design -
