Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is to give the education and training of Turkish music theory together with solfege practice, based on theoretical and scientific foundations and in accordance with a certain understanding of art.
Course Content: • Compound (Ink) Authority concept
• Nikriz, Nev'eser Sûzidîl, Şedaraban, Şehnaz, Şehnazbuselik, Hisar, Hisarbuselik makams of Turkish Music Şed and Composite Tunes
• 9-beat Ağır Aksak, 10-timer Aksak Semai, Curcuna, Lenkfahte, Ceng-I Harbî methods and solfeggio exercises in these method structures.

1) • The concept of COMPOUND (Ink) MADE in Turkish music • Theoretical information of “Nikrîz” maqam • Studies of the work, recognizing the maqam, practices of recognizing the transitions made in the work.
2) • Theoretical information of “Neveser” mode • Teaching the 10-times limping semai and tumultuous procedures • Studies of the work, recognizing the maqam, recognizing the transitions in the work.
3) • Repetition and reinforcement of Nikriz and Neveser makams • 10 measure writing and vocalization exercises.
4) • Theoretical information of “Sûzidîl” mode • Studies of the work, recognizing the maqam, recognizing the transitions in the work. • Reinforcing the 10-time limping semai, uproar procedures
5) • Theoretical information of “Şedaraban” authority • Studies of the work, recognizing the maqam, recognizing the transitions in the work.
6) • Repetition of the makams learned from the beginning of the semester.
