Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Basic Cardiopulmonary bypass course; components and application techniques. Evaluates the adequacy of perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass. They recognize myocardial protection techniques and systemic hypothermia applications. Identifies and distinguishes the processes in cardiac physiology. Identify and distinguish the processes in renal and respiratory physiology. Recognizes cardiovascular hemodynamic principles and associated organ functions. Describe the features of the systemic inflammatory response caused by the cardiopulmonary bypass system. Identify and distinguish the hemodynamic and physiological properties of circulatory and perfusion support systems.
Course Content: • Recognizes cardiopulmonary bypass components
• Order of cardiopulmonary bypass applications
• Knows and distinguishes the processes in cardiac physiology.
• List the features of the systemic inflammatory response caused by the cardiopulmonary bypass system.
• Identify and distinguish the processes in renal and respiratory physiology
