Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: With this program, the student;
1. Acquiring the basic skills of cello education,
2. Using technical terminology related to the cello correctly and appropriately,
3. Understand and apply basic or intermediate level vocalization techniques that may be encountered during the cello training process,
4. Understand and apply basic nuance terms,
5. Understand and use different forms of measurement,
6. Understand and use basic articulation and ornament terms,
7. Performing the works with musical sensitivity,
8. It is aimed to develop awareness of responsibility in individual work.
Course Content: Skills aimed to be acquired by students with the Cello Lesson Curriculum
1. Correct posture and sitting
2. Using fingers with Pizzicato technique
3. Use of left hand fingers
4. Use of spring
5. Coordinated playing
6. Voicing G and D Major scales
7. Deciphering skills
8. Etude in G and D Major keys
9. Tonality recognition
10. Performance and interpretation in G and D Major keys
11. Analytical thinking, ability to transpose
12. Piece and etude in the key of C Major
