Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Mental disability and other related areas; interdisciplinary fields of study cooperation concepts; team members and their characteristics in cooperation; necessity and importance of cooperation; basic principles in teamwork; teamwork theories; interdisciplinary studies the situation in Turkey; teamwork in Turkey; evaluation of current problems; To gain necessary knowledge and skills on solutions to current problems.
Course Content: Concept of mind and cognitive development, Mental disability and other related areas, Growth, maturation, development, brain maturation, vision in mental insufficiency, neurophysiology and hearing of visual perception, affection, odor, taste neurophysiology, neurodiversity of mental insufficiency, other accompanying mental insufficiency disabilities, Teamwork models in mental disability: multidisciplinary (multi-disciplines), interdisciplinary (interdisciplinary) team, Teamwork models in mental disability: transdisciplinary (transitive disciplines) team, Cooperation and importance in assessment and intervention in mental disability, Professionals working in teamwork in cooperation and family fellowship.

1) He / she has the knowledge to develop his/her students as a whole by taking into account all areas of development (mental, physical, emotional, social, personality etc.) and applies the related techniques to develop his students in these areas.

6) Other deficiencies that accompany mental disability: Stimulus deficiency, ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Hunter Syndrome etc.

8) Teamwork models in mental disability: multidisciplinary (multi-disciplines), interdisciplinary (interdisciplinary) team
9) Teamwork models in mental disability: transdisciplinary (transitional disciplines) team
10) Cooperation and its importance in assessment and intervention in mental disability
11) Professionals working in team work in cooperation - special educator, psychologist, psychological counselor, art therapist
