Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Rapidly changing and widespread technologies have brought about fundamental changes in communication systems. The aim of this course is to analyze the effects of digital instruments added to the traditional media in the communication sector, especially in the fields of television and cinema, by criticizing the sample series and films.
Course Content: Analyzing the differences of traditional media and new media, interactivity, postmodernism, active audience, multimedia, virtual reality (cyborg) digitalism, smilacrum.

1) To be able to follow the latest developments in the field of cinema and television from related sources, learning to use other disciplines in the field of cinema and new media., to enter the theoretical knowledge about the tools that will provide functional benefits.

1) To be able to use the acquired theoretical and factual knowledge about cinema and new media in personal production, analyze and criticize existing series and films. To be able to interpret and evaluate media tools and works by using the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of cinema and new media and to be able to analyze the differences between the old and the new media.

1) 1. Acquainting oneself with technologic developments which have effect on new media area. 2. Gaining the theoretical infrastructure controling the influence flow within social media, society and digital culture. 3. Implementing digital communication on productive and strategic projects by using the right applications. 4. Wining theoretical and factual infrastructure to use data which can reach the right information in an ethical way.
