Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to introduce students with pre-finishing work including the study of constructional elements, their design principles and their detailed relationships and to develop knowledge on the basic decision topics of advanced building construction and building elements, integration requirements, their characteristics and use in construction systems and subsystems within the context of “problem solving”. |
Course Content: | Principles of designing building enclosure with special focus on roofing and circulation solutions in a building including horizontal and vertical access to staircases, elevator pits, escalators, corridors and fire security zones. Design of vertical and horizontal shafts for plumbing, electric, communications, HVAC, etc. |
