Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Giving information about odongenic and nonodontogenic maxillofacial tumours,tumours of oral and its periphery ,diagnosis and treatments of superficial lesions of oral mucosa.
Course Content: Giving information about odongenic and nonodontogenic maxillofacial tumours,tumours of oral and its periphery ,diagnosis and treatments of superficial lesions of oral mucosa. Dentists,OMFSs should vocational risks,know clinical findings and spreading types and protection from AIDS,hepatitis.The aim of this lesson is giving informations about clinical findings,spreading and protection types of these diseases.

1) Diagnose and manage patients with salivary gland and mucosal diseases, diseases of the jaw bones, and head and neck pain syndromes where the primary treatment modality is nonsurgical or surgical.
2) At the end of the course the student will be able to: Recognize normal oral anatomy and variations of normal, distinguish features of common oral diseases that help in its clinical diagnosis.
3) Explain the pathogenesis and etiological factors of various oral diseases, connect histopathological features of oral lesions to its clinical presentation and management.
