Course Objectives: | This course aims to investigate the radiological effects on cells and to understand the differences between healthy cells and diseased cells. In this direction, it aims to transfer the studies of ionizing radiations, radioactive elements and control mechanisms to the students. At the same time, it explains the radiation effect mechanisms and transfers the relations with each other. |
Course Content: | Basic definitions and concepts related to radiobiology, Ionizing radiations and absorption of radiation energy, Effects of radiation on the cell, The effects of radiation on tissues and organs and the sensitivities of tissues and organs to radiation, Early and late effects of radiation on living things. |
