Course Objectives: | This course offers a broad introduction to social psychology, the scientific study of human social influence and interaction. Topics covered include social cognition, social perception, attitudes and attitude change, conformity, justification of our actions, group processes, interpersonal attraction, prosocial behavior, aggression and prejudice. Additionally, social psychological research and theories in Turkey are reviewed, and students are encouraged to evaluate and explore critically the limits of Western theories of social psychology. |
Course Content: | This course offers a broad introduction to social psychology, the scientific study of human social influence and interaction.
