Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: With this course, the student will be able to 1-Use color and light as an effective tool in the interior design process, 2-Create an interior atmosphere by considering the balance of form-material-texture-color-light, 3-Make interior furnishings and textile products color planning-light decisions. It is aimed to gain the ability to choose appropriately.
Course Content: With this course, the student will be taught, 1-Using color and light as an effective tool in the interior design process, 2-Creating an interior atmosphere by considering the balance of form-material-texture-color-light, 3-Making interior furnishings and textile products color planning-light decisions. It is aimed to gain the ability to choose appropriately. This course; The aim, scope and method of the course, general color knowledge, light-color relationship, light wavelengths, main-intermediate-contrast colors, color systems, physical and psychological effects of color. ,The value of color, metameric effect, color definitions, culture-color relationship, symbolic meanings of color, Color planning techniques in interior design 1: analysis of neutral-monochromatic color planning through examples, Color planning techniques in interior design 2: contrast-analog-color planning analysis through samples; changing spatial perception with the use of color, Color planning techniques in interior design 2: analysis of contrast-analog-color planning through examples; Changing the spatial perception with the use of color, In-class application: Color planning on the example of residential interior-technical: watercolor, Expressing the relationship between color and light as interior design elements, light in terms of physiological and psychological needs, light color and surface color through examples; Creating the atmosphere intended in interior design with the effect of light, evaluations through examples.,The effect of light-color-form-texture relationship on the perception of space in interior surfaces and fittings, evaluations through examples.,in-class application: light-color-texture atmosphere,class interior application: discussion and evaluation, use of textile products in interior design, selection criteria, examination of examples, Final Project: color planning in residential interior design, Final Project: color planning in residential interior design; includes topics.
