Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to bring students information about concept of disability, rights and global situation of disabilities, challenge for disabilities and committed regulation by government, communication with disability people. |
Course Content: | • Discussion of course introduction, anticipation and course tracking • Identification of seminar groups • Definition of disability, explanation of obstacle types • An overview of the global situation of disability rights, disability • General health care and disability • Prevention of disability • Rehabilitation and disability • Attitudes towards disability • Community awareness • Disabilities and education • Jobs and employment in the disabled • Disability and family loading • Disabled individuals and abuse • Disabled women • Children with disabilities • Autism and disability • Disabled individuals and nursing approach • Approaches to disabled patients / individuals in health institutions • Field work - Be able to initiate contact with disabled individuals • Fieldwork - Ability to monitor children with disabilities and initiate play activities • Fieldwork - Observation of family members of disabled people and use of communication skills |
