Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide the knowledge necessary to move from the role of a student to that of a graduate nurse. The focus is directed toward the professional responsibilities of the psychiatric and mental health nurse in mental health caring and leadership roles. (This course is given in Turkish.)
Course Content: 1. The definition, aim, philosophy, historical development, practice standards of mental health and psychiatric nursing 2. Communication process (psychiatric interview)

4. Anxiety disorders and nursing approaches
5. Schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders and nursing approaches
