Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The main aim of this course is to equip students with knowledge and ability on the precautions taken for preventing injuries or saving an injured person’s life by using the first aid methods in case of an accident or emergency case until the medical team arrive. Provide the necessary knowledge and skills on first aid.
Course Content: 1. Advantages and goals of first aid 2. Rescue and transfer of victims 3. Accident assessment and triage 4. Providing basic life support 5. Bleeds and first aid 6. First aid in wound 7. First aid in trauma 8. First aid in muscle and skeletal system injuries 9. First aid in stings and bites 10. First aid in poisonings 11. First aid in burns and frost 12. Medical conditions requiring first aid, institutions with first aid, first aid in natural disasters
