Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: General information about baglama and its history, baglama and pitching, pitch patterns, introduction of frets, basic information and exercises about finger positions, performing oral and non-verbal folk music repertoire with baglama and applying various performance techniques with baglama.
Course Content: At the end of this course the student will be able to:
 History of Baglama
 Holding baglama and tasene.
 Introduction of curtains
 Finger positions in baglama
 Tezene patterns in baglama
 Exercises in baglama,
 Performance of folk music with lyrics.
 Performance of folk music without words
 Baglama performance techniques
