Course Objectives: | ELEMENTARY LEVEL PIANO COURSE: General info regarding piano and its history, posture in piano playing, hand and finger positions, scales and arpeggios, basic level score reading and musical signs on the score, simple exercises regarding accompaniment and improvisation using basic harmonic/ rhythmic lines, performance of either exercises or predominantly Baroque/ Classical or Romantic pieces (usually simplified), pre-concert/ jury preparation. |
Course Content: | Beginner level piano education, Basic postures and positions, Left and fa key, Right hand and left hand coordination. Playing the pieces at a smooth tempo and as softly as possible |
