Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach students the structure of Ottoman Turkish and to provide them with the ability to read Ottoman period musical texts.
Course Content: Understanding and using the Ottoman written language.
Gaining the ability to read and analyze Ottoman period musical texts.
Obtaining information about music history and culture from Ottoman sources.
