Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to define problems in the field of explosive engineering in accordance with a specific subject and to carry out studies in order to solve the problem. As a result, Students prepare a thesis for the solution of the defined problem.
Course Content: Students choose and prepare the thesis together own academic consultant.

1) The theoretical knowledge in the earth science and, sciences they have acquired at the undergraduate level are detailed in accordance with the explosive engineering practices and the students are specialized in related subjects.
2) Students comprehend how the information they have obtained at the undergraduate level can be used in explosive engineering planning and applications.
3) Plan and preliminary design for blasting excavation applications.
4) Estimates environmental problems caused by blasting, and works to prevent or limit the problems.
5) Knows the properties of materials and equipment needed in applications.
6) Follows developments related to Explosive Engineering.
