Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to enable the students to determine safety precautions in the workplace by acquiring skills and knowledge about the causes of occupational accidents and occupational diseases, work accidents and occupational diseases and to be able to evaluate occupational health and occupational safety legislation. |
Course Content: | This course aims to introduce the basic concepts and historical development concepts about occupational health and safety; the duties and responsibilities of the workplace physician and occupational safety specialist at the workplace; risk, hazard, primary, secondary, tertiary protection concepts; physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks; occupational health and safety legislation and practices in the workplace. |
