Week Subject Related Preparation
1) World standards and common formats used. (HD, PAL, NTSC, 1080p 25i,) .
2) Introduction to software related to editing techniques. The importance of digital filmmaking techniques in contemporary cinema. Post production processes. .
3) An overview on Avid, Finalcut pro and Adope premier. The importance of using Keycode and Inkcode in digital filmmaking techniques. .
4) Avid - Three point editing method. Time Line, Browser and Viewer. .
5) Avid - Transfer, Mark In, Mark Out, Clipping, Match Frame and Gang sync. .
6) Avid - Trim mode, Split edits, Transition effects. .
7) Avid - Visual Effects and Color correction. .
8) Avid - Imports. Sound and music usage and technical rules. Audio and Music Pre Mix. .
9) Avid - Keyframe and its importance in various visual effects .
10) Avid - Digital video filters, Multi Camera editing, adapting text files to movies and creating animations. .
11) Avid counterparts from Final Cut Pro I .
