The Textile and Fashion Design Program aims to educate designers who can think critically, create innovatively, and adhere to ethical values within the contemporary fashion system. The program adopts a multidisciplinary approach that integrates art, design, technology, and production processes. Graduates who successfully complete the program are expected to acquire the following knowledge, skills, and competencies: To possess comprehensive knowledge of fashion design, textile materials, and production technologies. To understand the theoretical and historical frameworks of art, design, and fashion, and to relate them to current trends and cultural dynamics. To effectively use digital design tools, CAD systems, and 3D modeling techniques in design and production processes. To develop original, concept-driven, and research-based design projects, reflecting both functionality and aesthetic coherence. To integrate the principles of sustainability, innovation, and ethical responsibility into all stages of design. To use presentation, communication, and visual expression techniques effectively in both artistic and professional contexts. To work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments and make creative contributions to collective design processes. To analyze the fashion market, consumer behavior, and brand dynamics, and apply this knowledge to professional practice. To develop an entrepreneurial mindset and establish independent creative practices or fashion brands. To embrace lifelong learning, self-improvement, and cultural awareness, maintaining a continuous drive for renewal and growth. |
