The program consists of theoretical and applied courses, a graduation project, and professional practice and internships. The courses in the first four semesters provide students with fundamental knowledge related to the field, while the courses taken from the fifth semester onwards aim to equip them with knowledge, skills, and competencies specific to the field. 75% of the courses are compulsory, and 25% are elective. Elective courses consist of both in-field and out-of-field options and begin in the first semester of the program. A minimum of 16 ECTS credits of out-of-field elective courses must be taken: 4 ECTS in the first semester, 4 ECTS in the second semester, 4 ECTS in the third semester, 2 ECTS in the fourth semester, and 2 ECTS in the fifth semester. In-field Faculty elective courses total 24 ECTS credits, to be taken as follows: 3 ECTS in the fourth semester, 6 ECTS in the fifth semester, 3 ECTS in the seventh semester, 6 ECTS in the eighth semester, and 6 ECTS in the ninth semester. Within the scope of elective courses, there are also 12 ECTS credits of Professional Orientation courses (Pharmacy Services, Pharmacy Management, Industrial Drug Production, Quality Assurance and Regulations) to be taken across 9 semesters, and the Workplace Professional Training course, worth 22 ECTS credits, taken in the tenth semester.
Professional training and internships, including clinical pharmacy practices, are conducted in community and hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical warehouses, the pharmaceutical industry, various research centers and laboratories, and institutions specified in the Professional Education and Internship directive. In the 8th semester, students must choose one of the following courses: Hospital Pharmacy Internship I, Industrial Internship, or Institutional Internship. In the 10th semester, the Workplace Professional Training course must be completed by choosing one of the following possibilities: Community Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, R&D laboratories, or the Pharmaceutical Industry. |
