Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to provide information about the sterilization method to promote infection control and to prevent hospital infections. To teach to the students on the possibilities of infectious diseases following natural disasters.
Course Content: • define the infection and its relation to disasters
• define the common infectious disease and the means of infection
• identify characteristic of disaster medicine
• describe ways of protection from infections originating from crowds
• describe and discuss prevention efforts against camp infections
• describe and discuss the methods of sterilization
• describe and discuss the characteristics of sterilization, antisepsis, disinfection
• describe and discuss the quality control of sterilization methods
